Lehi, Utah—Community Action Services and Food Bank today announced Young Living Essential Oils as the largest corporate donor in their annual Brigham Young University versus University of Utah Food Fight donation drive. From November 7-24 Young Living Essential Oils raised a total of $6,726 to help fight hunger in Utah County ($1,684 in support of the University of Utah and $1,679 in support of Brigham Young University, plus matching contributions). With the funds generated, Community Action Services and Food Bank will be able to provide 114,342 pounds of food to needy families in Utah.
According to Myla Dutton, executive director of Community Action Services and Food Bank, “I was amazed when I found out how much Young Living Essential Oils raised for Community Action Food Bank. The money will go a long way and we will be able to help out so many families.” Jim Thomas, Food Bank coordinator, adds, “I think this proves the huge impact that local businesses can have in their community. We are very thankful for Young Living's enthusiasm and generosity.”
