Mona, Utah—On June 27–28, 2008, Young Living Lavender Farm will host the annual Lavender Days Festival in Mona, Utah. Located on 3700 N. Highway 91, the farm will open its gates at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27. This two-day event features an array of activities that include educational sessions about the lavender distillation process, craft and food vendors, rock climbing, lavender-enhanced fare, herb gardening classes, pony and paddleboat rides, professional jousting, and the popular Lavender Fairy Tea Party. New this year, the kid-friendly Knight's Tale party features refreshments fit for a King and a visit from a Knight in shining armor.
Festivities continue Saturday, June 28, with a 5K run through a breathtaking 140 acres of lavender in full bloom. Register online, www.younglivingfarms.com, or in-person registration begins at 6:00 a.m. the morning of the race, and will be followed by a raffle for all runners and a light breakfast.
A full schedule of Lavender Days events is available online at www.younglivingfarms.com. Admission is $8.50 for adults, $4.50 for children 4 to 12, and free for children three and under. Tickets purchased Friday allow guests to return Saturday free of charge.
Young Living Lavender Farm was founded in 1995 by Gary Young and is known today as the largest lavender farm and distillery in North America. The lavender is used to produce therapeutic-grade essential oils for aromatherapy and to aid in good health and well-being.
